The sights along the climb to the
summit of Mt. Ajo (4,808') were awesome! Cliffs, and plenty of
large cacti were all about. A trail starts from the Ajo Mountain
loop road to climb past trail registers, then to a saddle, and
then, roughly, to the main summit ridge and the top. Some cliffs
are to the north of the peak. Despite
the winter season, it is plenty warm and comfortable here in Southern
Arizona! Photos taken December 25, 1998, by Petesthousandpeaks.
