HIGHPOINT OF NORTH VALLEYS REGIONAL PARK 121X September 25, 2021

Up early to do webwork, I made breakfast, then heard my doorbell ring. It was a neighbor, who had wished to hike with me. We set it to be ready at 8:30 a.m., so I finished my webwork, and got ready for the hike. His sister joined us, so we walked from our homes, and bagged the local bump happily for my 121X. They made it to the top and back down safely, which was a worry since it was class 2. They reported enjoying the hike, as we rested a lot on the bench by the highpoint.

Back home, they all made some enchiladas with Spanish rice, and I enjoyed their hospitality with food. I got some cake, and tired, ate it at home. After water and rest, I asked if they'd want to do another peak bag, but they had enough. I rested at home with music and videos, and had more food.

Pleased that I had company for my bump bag, I hope that they'd wish to do more hiking. I offered to take them to Yosemite, where they'd never been. Next month, the Park will drop their reservation requirement of $2 to be made beforehand, so we can just go on the fly.

Still waiting on my doctor to approve me for my drivers license, in case of a refusal to do this, I'd try to find another doctor who will approve me. In a worst case, I might seek the neighbors' help, to get me groceries and maybe some carpooling. Good to have friendly neighbors now, I may stay in Reno rather than figure to move back to Las Vegas.

My hope is that my home is valued at 5 soon, and then I'd maybe sell to buy at under 3. This pays off my mortgage, and to find a good new home, last that I saw this would be back in California in Merced. I'd be then two hours from Yosemite Valley, with hiking to do. All depending on the housing market, it could be a bright future with finances. With no mortgage payments, it'd be back to spending a lot every month. There's lesser new homes across the street now asking over 5, so this isn't so much of a pipe dream. You never know about the future, so goes my hopes.
