RATTLESNAKE MOUNTAIN 84X October 25, 2021

Fatigued for the weekend due to my Covid booster shot on Friday, I still haven't received any letter from the NV DMV. My mail gets stolen or misdelivered, and nobody could care less. No word either from a mental health provider, so I am still driving my car. I managed to get good enough food to survive, over the past several days.

We had record rains back in my old home town, a sign of climate change, perhaps. With new snow on the peaks, I wanted to capture the sights. Monday, I had energy, with my investments zooming to new heights. Taking the freeway south, I stopped for diet soda at the fast food. Then to motor to the Huffaker Hills TH where the sun played on the fall colors, and with fresh snow on the distant mountains. Bagging the Rattlesnake 84X, I sure enjoyed the hike with my camera work, and nice conditions.

Then to get good Chinese food, and a donut on my way home.

The trails were damp and even muddy, but I didn't slip on bad spots. Mostly, I could hike on rocks or gravel, with no snow locally. With a slight breeze, it was glorious on the summit. My home heating issues had mostly been resolved, but I still feel cold air blowing in at night.

My dream currently is to get my drivers license approved by a doctor, and be back to peak and bump bagging daily or as possible. I'm doing okay as far as spending, and my bills are getting paid. No announcement of a new computer for my webwork and information, so I saved some money for the time being. Still a slim chance of a roommate or travel partner, which enables me for another road trip. Lonely in my nice home, I have no friends or anybody to chat with. Content though with my car and going to get food locally, I have it better than a lot of people.
