MAX’S LOOKOUT 4X March 27, 2021
Up early, I did webwork, and hungry, motored to get breakfast. I finally went out for first, lunch of hot dogs and fish and chips. To motor then to Hidden Valley Regional Park TH, to chat with a couple other hikers, then spending perhaps an hour doing this, I gave them my business card.
The climb up went fast, and shortly I was at the bench and register. I had a new clear plastic container, so put the book and scraps into it. The view was standard, and I rested on the bench, not capturing video, as my camera had frozen and had to be reset.
With more hikers coming by, I decided to explore. Told of an easier and less steep way down, I had to continue up, and topped a small hill. I then followed use trails down to find that it required going off the dirt road to be safer. The dirt roads are steep and slippery. I switchbacked down along the roads, with rocks and softer dirt to have more secure footing.
Back to the car, I chatted with a couple other hikers, and gave them also my business card. I had two cans of diet soda from my cooler, and left for a burrito and tacos.
Home, I had to head for bed, and slept till after midnight, when I started on the day’s post.
