RATTLESNAKE MOUNTAIN 26X, TWIN PEAKS, EAST SHORE TRAIL March 26, 2021

Tired, I decided to get a good breakfast. Trying the natural foods buffet along South Virginia Street, as I was headed for Huffaker Hills TH, they slopped on eggs and potatoes, with two links. I also bought some soap, and I will be back here, as they take convenience payment. The best local op for healthy and organic foods, I have not gone here much because of the distance to motor, when I had a gas powered car.

Onto the hike, I first bagged Rattlesnake Mountain 26X by a new route, for me, as a steep use trail leaves right from about the gate on the middle of the climb. I got to the top in 27 minutes, so faster, and with also a good view. The register was okay, and I ran into only some other few hikers.

Back to the parking lot, I chose to bag Twin Peaks as well. I had to open my jackets, as I got heated up. With video on top, I felt much better.

Then too early to be heading home, I stopped by the computer company store to get a charger for my Watch. My older one appears to have failed, but I need to troubleshoot this more.

Motoring southwest on NV 431, I cruised over the pass and then down to NV 28, where I paid $3.50 for parking so I could hike slowly. Capturing photos and videos, I took the East Shore Trail southwards, and stopped at Hidden Beach, some 0.99 mile away from the start. A gorgeous day, with clear vistas, and no motorized noises aside from cars.

Headed back, I sought to make a loop by taking a trail to the Flume Trail, running above the highway. No time to visit Monkey Rock, as my parking allowed for time to 4:44 p.m. Nice to see other hikers enjoying and exploring. Back to the trailhead parking, I left with still minutes on the time.

Motoring back to Reno, I stopped for dinner. One of my shots of the window displays came out unfocused, a pity that I do not see the resultant image on playback, as I have bad eyes. Ordering salmon and a pork treat, the bill came to about $31, and as the convenience payment failed to include my previous written-in tips, I left them $20 for the fine service.

Thinking of stopping at the casinos for dessert, I gave a care package to some guy by the freeway exit. Home, I went straight to bed, as I was tired. Glad to drive without getting too sleepy, I have plenty of business next week. Maybe another short road trip later next week, but as usual, no company whatsoever. The CA coastal range should be flush with wildflowers, and then it will be a new month, so more to spend.
