DONNER SUMMIT AND BACK March 12, 2021

Working at home, I unpacked my latest good deal, had some food, then I decided to head out as I am getting a new ISP. Shortly to have nearly 1 Gbps upload speed, the technician arrived and installed my new Internet. In the meantime, I reviewed yesterdays webwork.

Done by Noon, I waited around, and finally headed out to terminate my old account, and return the gear. I made various stops, with a care package delivered to some guy along the freeway exit. Zooming then westbound on Interstate 80, I stopped to drop off the devices. I spoke with the friendly help briefly, and then headed on.

Exiting in Truckee, CA, I had to use a restroom. As I got to the door, other people were faster, twice. Disgusted, I finally went to my car, and used my pee bottle. I bought chicken wings and potatoes at the supermarket. Also donuts and apple turnovers.

To the summit rest area, I slowed for my dash cam videos. Then on to Castle Peak Exit, to tour the Sno-Park. New to me was the PCT trailhead, with the parking lot plowed. Most skiers used split boards, and reported good powder. I went on the other rest area, taking photos. New to me was a charging station, good for hikers to go short hiking.

Detouring to Truckee, CA, I looked for dining ops. It was before 6, so it would be fee parking. Back onto the freeway, I zoomed eastbound at up to 93 mph. Some jerk looked to give me the finger, as I was doing just speed. I zoomed up and passed him, and let him know, my car is not p****, then I let him pass me again.

The sunlight turned orange on the higher walls, and I marveled that I would be recording this in 4K. Used to be Super 8 film, and for only a few minutes. Taking the exit to Virginia Street, I passed under the Reno Arch, and down South Virginia to loop back and head back north. I had to use a restroom, so did not look for needy people.

Back home, I parked inside my garage, soon to be cleared and painted. I will be hanging art, and also perhaps a snow mural. To be just like my old garage, only better with more art.

Tending to the days webwork, I am glad that I have a fast computer and the best creative software.
