HIGHPOINT OF NORTH VALLEYS REGIONAL PARK 87X August 8, 2021

Up early, I had raisins for breakfast, then saw it was only a stage 1 alert as far as the smoke. I bagged the highpoint of North Valleys Regional Park 87X, after sleeping in a bit. Home, I took my usual cold shower, then left for a donut and salad, with groceries. Good that Reno now has an organic buffet op, and I save money here instead of a $$$ meal at some casino. Having gotten cash at an ATM, I used my debit card with my Watch to pay for items at the natural food store along South Virginia Street.

With bills auto paid, I have to watch my money. Nice if I could sell my gazebo, but my ad with offers go nowhere. On Sunday, there is no local TV news broadcast, so I get the news in other ways. I'd head for San Francisco for cleaner air, but there is lodging, and the hostel is now $54/night. My portfolio is increasing, but not enough to sell.

Waiting on my cash out refinance, this may take a few more weeks for approval. In the meantime, I have coming problems with my drivers license. To see the doctor, and hopefully he'll sign off on my meds. I've never had any accident that was my fault, till last year when I had a parking mishap. Then, the car software crashed, so I lost the rear view and backed into a post in my garage. Only cosmetic damage, I get this covered under accident forgiveness by the insurance company. I might just paint this over, but I'm too worried to try it.

Smoke is forecast for a few more days, so to see how it goes. It spreads out all the way to points east, even to Denver, CO. Hopefully, I'd get back to bagging Northern Sierra peaks.

Under attack by the Club peak sections, I'm falsely accused with looking like racist hate by many of them. In their newsletters, I am mentioned adversely. I only tell the truth, so I'm blocked from their social media pages. They disallow comments on their racist exclusions by my former chapter, then I see they love pollution and slander. Knowing how they are when it comes to litter, trash, and pollution, by honored members and still being praised to this day, I'm glad to have quit this Club.
