LAS VEGAS DAY TWENTY THREE December 3, 2020
Lone Mountain (3,342') 15X
Up early once again, I began to get hungry at 4 a.m. Motoring to the nearby 24/7 eatery, I had breakfast. Good service, as usual, so I left a good tip. Back home, I did more webwork. Late in the morning, I motored over to the typical TH.
Bagging Lone Mountain for my 15X, I had no more bad luck, though I didn’t gamble today. Doing a slight variation on the up direct route, I topped out in 26 minutes. The register was okay, though I didn’t see any good artwork. You might do a site search on “register” and find what I mean. Most everyone was nice, though none wore any mask. I kept moving aside for hikers, as they looked to refuse PPE.
Making a loop and down the regular trail, hardly many hikers to bag the peak today. Headed now for the free parking garage, I took a few photos before going into my fav casino for eats. The restaurants that I wished to dine at were closed, so I went to the only open one nearby.
Curious, I ordered a $32 burger, but it came to me with pink meat when I ordered well done. They took it back, and served me right the next time, so I ordered fries and a milkshake, but they got the flavor wrong. Also, they didn’t accept convenience payment, so likely I’ll never dine here again. Only then a smaller tip to make it an even $60.
Taking more photos and video, I went by the goods store to get a casino cap. The only good deal for today, so I took photos of three different sets of showgirls. I had no smaller bills, so I hope they properly split up the $40 total that I paid, as I just gave one of the girls a bill with no change. There was one pretty set previously that refused $20 for two, and they are starting to ask again a $20-$20 total. If they did a nice video, I’d pay that, but so far they all refuse or I am ignored.
Back to the parking garage, my car was fine, with sentry mode not working as it once did. Used to be, you’d tap on the icon, and then it’d show what set the motion detector off. Now, I just make a fast visual inspection, with also sometimes a photo, before and after. I’ve seen drivers backing up into another car, and then leave the scene, and by me, that’s hit and run. The cops couldn’t care less as it was on private property, but I now capture videos when I can. Used to be, my cars got hit all the time, and no note, so a crime, and then the keying five times straight.
To see if they try this again, I have multiple security cams and now the high end car. I now need to do some car cleaning, and it used to be that people would work for my $15/hr. minimum wage supported. I had also posted a $25 reward for the return of my lost pee bottle, gone missing up high on the peak of last Monday. I also received an offer to take my video chatter job, and one applicant was a showbiz professional and an entertainer, so I said that I’d pay him $20/hr. on the phone.
With my dash cams running as I drove up the Strip during magic hour, once more, it’s captured. To shoot extra video as I passed through the Arch, this all makes fine 4K video.
Home, it was to begin with webwork. I had more applicants for my video chatter job. Taking a shower, I was rested, and ready to video chat. This takes little effort on my part, but I do get sleepy, as I woke up at just before midnight last night. I did go back to bed a few times, but I get no or little sleep.
