HARDWARE AND SOFTWARE RECOMMENDATIONS
This site is meant to be viewed with the browser set to a normal or larger text size, and through a high quality monitor for optimal image reproduction. Currently, I am rescanning and reworking many images to roughly display on a monitor capable for 1024 x 786 pixels, or, at least 640 x 480 pixels, subject to my past, older, digital camera settings. Many images are intended for display at up to 1920 X 1200 pixels. Thusly, with dial-up, the download times may be relatively lengthy.
I refer to Safari 5 for my settings as for viewing, and as stated, use a Macintosh computer in design and display. If your computer monitor screen is limited in display options, you may consider upgrading, or, if possible, connecting your computer with a larger screen TV.
Addenum: On my new Internet capable hand held device, my PTP pages appear quite well on a 3.5" screen. You can secure access to all of my website descriptions and photos, including the free-for-use Northern Sierra Peaks Guide. It is possible to save pages for reference, without any need of Wi-Fi, 3G, or whatever access, to be used on any trail or peak. I highly recommend getting such a good device for apps that can download topo maps to be easily consulted offline. This makes a good part of sound navigation and electronic guidance.
