The view of the Whaleback (11,717')
from Big Wet Meadow in Cloud Canyon, Sequoia-Kings Canyon National
Park, is breathtaking. This peak is climbed almost exclusively
by members of the Sierra Peaks Section, Angeles Chapter, Sierra
Club. While ropes aren't really necessary, climbers should consult
the latest guidebook for a description of the safest route. Photo
