My favorite grove in Hope Valley, this area was saved from development by the Forest Service, spurred on by open space preservation groups. A natural place to build outside the Tahoe Basin, the land was acquired by the Forest Service to be held in its rural state. Photos taken October 12, 2000 by Pete Yamagata.
