HIGHPOINT OF NORTH VALLEYS REGIONAL PARK 144X August 13, 2022

Somewhat lingering in bed this Saturday, I listened to my Google Hub, me asking about the time and temperature. I got to diet soda, then motored over to the local park. It was 75 degrees when I started, with two hikers coming off the trails. I kept an eye open for snakes and lizards, and it gives me a slight rest when I zoom in and focus on the reptilian subjects.

The register hadn't been touched since yesterday, and I signed in. Blue skies make this day a waste, for me, but since it was now a weekend, the PCT parking area would probably be full, where I would try to bag Donner Peak again. Being now an older man, I have to be careful with my steps and balance. And now, with dry mouth, I may begin to carry liquids. To allay my current dry mouth, I motored to the fast food for a smoothie. Home, I pan fried chicken wings, and made another smoothie.

It cools down enough for a comfortable hike in the evening, so about 6:30 p.m., I bagged Thorton Point 79X. I've been seeing motorized bikes where I think they're not supposed to be, but they may be on a rescue or recon. In that part of town, I parked in the garage that I use for decades, and had $16.99 wor won ton soup. Tipping $5 for good service, they now take convenience payment at the Pearl bar.

Back home at night, I got to webwork and had Fox on my TV for the news.
