HIGHPOINT OF NORTH VALLEYS REGIONAL PARK 124X, RED ROCK, THORTON POINT 70X September 28, 2021

After breakfast, I discovered that my credit card had been charged for filling out the DMV form or for sending a letter about my meds and drivers license. I then figured that I was now approved for my drivers license. Happy, I heard the door being knocked, and it was the neighbor wanting to join me for my hike. We bagged the local bump for my 124X ascent, and I rested back at home with water.

The neighbor had things to do, so I got a breakfast burrito with diet soda solo. Then, I motored north along U. S. 395 to check my register at Red Rock. I ran into a friendly couple whom I showed the views up the dirt road. They weren't equipped for hiking, so I scrambled alone up to my register, and saw it was signed in. I captured photos of the glorious day, with clear blue skies, the first day for a long while that the sky wasn't so smoky. With photos of the distant turned aspen groves on the north side of Peavine Peak, the fall colors were arriving.

Back home, the neighbor joined me as I went for tacos. Later, his family worked, so when the sister returned home, I drove the three of us to East Keystone TH to bag Thorton Point for my 70X. It was near sunset, so many of my photos were taken in low light, so blurred and unusable. Cold, we were dressed warmly, and did the hike quickly. Back home, we celebrated a family birthday, with candles and cake.

The DMV rep messaged me that they had not received the form or letter, so my joy then was tempered. I'll wait a day or two, then ask the medical provider about what's going on. I assume this takes some time, but being approved on my meds for my driving merits a big celebration. When they do this once, I'd assume they'd do it for the next several years, so I'd be set for life, pretty much.

My forward dash cam got scrunched, so I used glue to repair it. Now upset a bit, it remains to be seen about the med signoff and the DMV to approve.
