SUGARLOAF PEAK (5,292+') May 27, 2021

Up with a good, grocery store breakfast, I decided to enjoy a beautiful day on a peak. I found this hike online on doing a search. Motoring over to Spanish Springs by NV 445, I used my car navigator which led to a shortcut route without any trail. Turning back, I found the trailhead on Paradise View Court, as online directions gave.

Taking the longer road with plenty of signs, I came to a highpoint along the road. No trail from here was visible, so game for exploration, I continued along the road as it descended a small bit. I soon came to the trail, signed, and short of a water tank. The trail contoured, then switchbacked up, with vistas along the way. I had many sights of lizards, and the weather was gorgeous.

To the summit, I started with the views. Then to photograph a few pages of the register. I had brought one along, but this was not necessary. I did video along the way, enjoying the day. Not staying on top too long, I had the peak to myself. I filled up my liter pee bottle, having drunk a lot of diet soda. Descending was fun, with photos of more lizards. The hill along the road requires a gain of some 27 feet, on the return, so no big loss.

Back to the car, it was okay, so I motored on home. Downloading the camera work, that was successfully done. I had food, then rested back in bed, with a movie, and got back up in the evening to have even more food, then to complete the webwork.
