MAX'S LOOKOUT 9X May 19, 2021

Finding some lost art of mine, I busied myself in the early a.m. to hang some. Today was a really windy day, so I got food, and motored to this one hike at Hidden Valley Regional Park. Using the restroom, then my pee bottle, I started the climb. With the wind, all I could do today was to bag the point, with the intent to provide a photo guide.

Parking at the trailhead lot, go through the gate, take a left up the hill, then come to a right up the hill. Gain a major main trail, follow it left a couple hundred feet, and take the right up the hill. Follow this old roadbed up to the bench, and towards the top, it gets steep and slippery. Sidehilling may be preferable to following the roadbed trail.

I arrived at the bench in 35 minutes. Capturing the view, I rested, and headed back down. With more photos to show the way, I sidehilled off the roadbed trail, in steeper sections. A cactus wildflower presented itself, and so did a lizard.

I had enough of the strong wind, so motored home, with a successful and safely done hike. Doing dinner, I got to webwork. Posted by 5:30 p.m., I did have upload issues today, but they resolved the problem.
