KINGS CANYON FALLS, GEIGER GRADE VISTAPOINT, RATTLESNAKE MOUNTAIN 24X, RED HILL 7X AND MORE March 7, 2021
Up at my usual near midnight, I dealt with some online business. Hungry, I prepared some food. Going back to bed, I was watching a movie.
I figured to do some hiking, so took off southbound on I-580 to Carson City, NV. I hiked Kings Canyon Falls, with a narrow trail in parts. The falls was running good, and I captured video. This is only some quarter mile hike each way, with plenty of other hikers. Muddy near the top, I took some care to stay safe. None of the other hikers wore masks.
Headed now for Virginia City, NV, I did not even stop until the Geiger Grade vistapoint. I captured the views, and shortly left for Huffaker Hills TH to bag Rattlesnake Mountain 24X. Tired of hiking Twin Peaks, I headed on to Chocolate and W Second to bag Red Hill 7X. Intent on capturing the sunset, with clouds, I anticipated a good one.
To the top, the sunset turned out to be less than I expected, so I took the summit road down, seeing plenty of discards along the way. I got back to my car, and left for home.
I had Watch stats, but forgot to stop the app, as I am getting so absent-minded. Good for a caring partner to remind me to do this, but there is nobody, not even for salary.
Making a sandwich on getting to the computer, I had to head for bed.
Being a good, full day, this all took some 7 hours of my time.
