GALENA CREEK, SIERRA SUMMIT, SKI RESORT, AND SOUTH VIRGINIA STREET March 10, 2021

Up early as usual, I made breakfast. With technology supported, I enjoyed the early morning. With packages coming with dip, seaweed snacks, and other food items, I wished to add some to my care packages. Waiting in vain, I decided to motor out.

Checking the exit where people usually stand to beg for whatever, I saw several officers dealing with some homeless-looking person. I saw nobody there, so I left for parts south. The light was good, so I headed south on the main street, with my dash cams running.

I had heard the car dealer would begin with body work services, but checking, this had not been enabled yet. Looking at possibly my next car, the sales person claimed disrespect, so I left. Motoring onto the big store at the mall, I sought then to buy more tech items. Due to I guess the virus, I was not allowed to browse or make purchases without an appointment. Disgusted, I left. I doubt even to get 1,000 phones, would they not change their rules.

Headed now for Galena Creek visitor center, I took photos of the displays and conditions. Continuing to the summit of the highway, I spoke with some boarder, and told him of my offer a few years ago. He did not seem very interested, so I left to head for the ski resort. Needing to get information, the staff was cordial and pleasant.

The lift prices were too high for me, and as I had offered a free season pass to team up for skiing, I guess that would qualify as too good to be true. Mentioning that even with meals and lodging all covered, also salary, there would never be anyone interested. My plan was to ski at all the resorts offering support for that pass, and snow camp in the cargo bed of my coming truck, with climate control and music and movies all night. I likely will do this alone, as even for a million dollars, most people would always refuse. I would be skiing every day, enough to make most people sick. At the workplace, they would say no rest for the wicked.

Headed now for the exit to check on people standing there, there was nobody, so I cruised south again on Virginia Street. Going by a surplus store, the attendant was friendly, so I would be back. Still nobody at the exit, so I motored south on the main street for my 3X today.

Spotting a near empty eatery, I parked with two hours free. Hungry, I ordered good dishes, but aside from the poor crustaceans, all meatless.

Tipping enough to make the bill an even number, I saw the sunset was not so reddish and great. I expected to capture a rainbow, as there were sun and clouds, with rain. Disappointed, this was a good rest day, anyway.

Back home to do webwork, I watched an old DVD movie.
