HIGHPOINT OF NORTH VALLEYS REGIONAL PARK 95X August 21, 2021

With checks to deposit, I first went to my local branch. They were helpful, and I got three of my checks to pay off my credit cards and into my checking account. To celebrate, I had a bacon sandwich, then figured to pay off my two other credit cards. The reps said that they weren't the exact amount, due to auto payments in the meantime, so couldn't take them. Phoning the bank, I had to physically mail them. It was the same with my remaining checks, so I mailed them all off.

In 7 to 10 days, the checks would be processed, and my credit cards would all be paid off. This done, it remains to be seen now if the mail goes through. I did spend lavishly in Las Vegas on my winter road trip, and also for luxury goods for my new home. I now pay this all off in some 30 years. Good now on finances, I had a sandwich meal at the Kietzke fast food, then got a salad at the buffet bar.

Home, I then saw the sky had cleared, so I bagged the local bump 95X. Struggling to straighten the flagpole in a wind, I had no help, so gave up for now. I'd be back to try it again, as this was an evening hike, with dark and cold approaching.

The Caldor fire was threatening Kyburz, a fav stop of mine as I peak bagged from Sacramento. Due to be more smoke, I'd see what happens with the air quality. Lucky that I got to hike today, with northerly winds.
