HIGHPOINT OF NORTH VALLEYS REGIONAL PARK 92X August 14, 2021

Up early to do some webwork, it had been heated Hell last afternoon and night. I didn't turn on my a/c, so suffered a bit. It nearly went to 100 degrees outside, but having spent on insulation, didn't want to waste my money. I slept okay and felt better in the cooler morning, so had breakfast.

Much more suited for my daily exercise, I went hiking to bag the local bump, as usual. Someone had knocked down my duck to mark the summit use trail, so I built another one. Adjusting rocks to straighten out the flagpole, I ran into another lone hiker. With new angles for my photos, I occupied myself with photography. Getting my mail as I got back home, I had energy, so left to get groceries. I had some food for my leftover hot dog bun, and also potato wedges, then later a pb&j sandwich and cookies.

Watching a movie, I shortly retired to bed. Due to be hot today, I'd stick to energy conservation, and not to turn on the a/c. At the computer, I did webwork. With cold showers and cold drinks, I stayed happy enough.

Due to be hazy all week, I assume it'll be the local bumps, every day. It's clear in San Francisco, but no partner to ever share. When I get the cash out, this may be a thought. I haven't been there for maybe 7 years. Nice to hike by the City by the Bay, but frugality is a concern, and though it's only a five hour drive or so, I would need lodging or to camp. There's Point Reyes National Seashore, where I haven't hiked for decades. Though on my last camping attempt, I couldn't sleep so headed back home.

Figuring on a cheap motel outside the Bay Area, it's been travel season so rates are sky high. Last spring, Davis, CA was cheap enough, but not anymore.
