LAS VEGAS DAY FIFTY December 30, 2020

Table Mountain (5,152’) 2X

With the usual work at the computer in the early a.m., I went and got breakfast. Back home, it was to decide what to do today. I had to get power, so drove over to the Linq for Supercharging. They had taken down the Christmas tree already. I bought some cookies for some food energy.

Motoring off after 25 minutes of charging, I was good for 259 miles. I have the battery set for lower than a full charge, due to the car manual suggestions. Figuring on doing a peak bag, I took the navigator directions to Goodsprings, NV. At the Pioneer Saloon, I had to use the restroom first.

Wanting some food, I toured the business, with a memorial to Carol Lombard/Clark Gable. Interesting displays on the walls. To support again Nevada business, I ordered a drink, hot dog, and potato salad.

Other people were looking at the wall displays, so I captured photos for those unenabled to get here and view them. Using the restroom again, I took photos of the outside. The waitress when asked, did not know about hiking Table Mountain, so I checked out the roads, and found the major highway was the one to get to the roadhead.

Passing it at first, I did a U and parked a short bit down the dirt road. Some other fellow was just getting back to his truck, and then me asking, he was checking out the mine.

Starting the hike, I knew it was a shorter one, and could remember which way to go. When I get my electric truck, I will be motoring this road to the top. I knew the junctions, and had a good idea of the way to go.

After maybe an hour or so, I reached the top. No register that I could see, and I did not have my cans for a container. It was a magnificent view, with the setting sun. With dark approaching, I headed on back, with even more photos.

Back to the car, I shortly took off to head back to town for dinner. Plenty of good looking women at the casino, as I guess this is a holiday start to the week. I looked then for food, and some places were closed.

I got a table at a $$$ restaurant, so ordered dinner. With photos and video of the fountains through the restaurant windows, I sure enjoyed this. The bill was over $100, me giving a 20% tip, but I have money in the bank. 2021 is shortly due, and I expect a great year for me personally. To move into my new home, and maybe the top of the line electric truck to receive by the late fall. Then possible additional income from the current car, then also the truck to work as a robotaxi.

Who knows, I may be living in a $$$$$$ home in Vegas by this summer. Figuring to gamble, I found a card table with a $50 minimum. I had cash, so played one hand, and won! With now more cash, I captured more photos, and going outside, paid two showgirls $20 for their photo.

Only some fireworks due for the New Year celebration at the Plaza by FSE, to be crowded so risky, with Covid and no vaccine for me yet. Likely to just enjoy another expensive meal, and watch what on TV.

So, another good, successful, safe day with a peak bagged with good image captures. The hike was some 4.83 miles with 798 feet of gain, by my Watch.

Movie clips.
