LAS VEGAS DAY FORTY THREE December 23, 2020

Lone Mountain 28X

Up to need power for my car, I zoomed over to the Supercharger at the Linq. This done, I then headed for the free parking garage to get an item replaced. My tote bag had failed, so I wanted to get a new one. I had to use a restroom, but I had to go to the casino, and the restaurants there were closed. Going across the street to the Cos, I got my breakfast there.

Then to also get a smoothie, and then back to the mall, where to kill time, I bought a gold wristband for my Watch. The store clerk at the tourist souvenir shop said that I had to check with the boss when he was there, so I would have to come back to do this.

I had also bought a Christmas gift, so to get it delivered by the next day, I looked for a shipping location. This took me to the UNR campus, and then to a casino where they had closed the store location. Finally getting to a delivery company store, they quoted me some $171+ to get it delivered by the next day.

Going then to the Post Office, I would get it delivered by maybe Tuesday next week for $8. Standard shipping by the private company would run maybe $40 to get it delivered in about the same time, so hurray for the Post Office!

Nearby was a business, so I got two tamales for cheap. Then to head north on the Strip to get to the camera store, as the screen on my new camera frequently went out. The told me that a sensor on the viewfinder stopped the display when it detects my face blocking the sensor, so the screen is not on when I am using the viewfinder. An energy saving feature, so hurray for that information.

I then bought a LED light unit, and also a mount to attach it to the camera, and then a larger camera case to hold them all. Good to go with now night photography and video, I am better set for image capture. I got to the Supercenter to pick up groceries, the contactless way. Then home to unload them all, and back out to get my daily exercise.

Motoring to Lone Mountain TH for my 28X, I started up with dusk light, and made the top where I had it to myself. Occupied with using my new gear, this went safely and successfully. Some worry about a nighttime descent solo, with now nobody around, but I made it safely.

On the way home, I picked up a sandwich, and ate it at home. Checking the downloads, the video capture at night using the new LED unit would have been better with a stronger light, but it was remedied somewhat by enhancement. So, now, I am enabled for night video at closer range, with my new gear. It all fits into the new larger camera case, so hurray for the camera store. Though they did not have any microphone with a wind sock that attached, but software helps to reduce such noise.

Tired, I went to bed after relaxing with my tech gear, with music and checking mail and messages.
