LAS VEGAS DAY TWENTY SEVEN December 7, 2020

Black Mountain 2X

Figuring to find my lost pee bottle, I determined to do Black Mountain 2X. After some computer work, I motored to the Linq Supercharger to get power. I had gotten a breakfast burger to consume on the way there.

With a full charge, I motored to the Shadow Canyon Access Point. I had to use a restroom, so motored to a pharmacy and took a dump. I purchased a bottle of water, to support the business.

Back to the trailhead parking, I took my pack and started the climb. The ascent went fine, and I sure enjoyed this. Capturing video and photos at the top, I took photos of every page of the register. A few pages of sign-ins on my new book from my first ascent.

The descent went fine, down the class 2 route with the steep trail. Then to motored to the free parking at the mall. I had a burger, and with no showgirls, I motored back home.

As I came to my security gate, two guys came from nowhere, and showed a gun. I knew this was a robbery, and robbed before, let them have everything, as you don’t resist criminals with arms. They cleaned out my pockets, and took the cameras with the camera case. Nice guys, as they just wanted money, and I had just $21 in cash. They quickly departed, so I lost the day’s photos and video, and also my new phone.

Then to the apartment, where I first let the host know of this. I lost my phone, so spent time trying to call the police by speakerphone. I forgot this requires the phone, so a waste of time. I still had my Watch, so then called 911 and let them know of the robbery. An officer came by shortly, so I made a statement. I then cancelled my credit cards, frustrating as the Watch without the speakerphone was hard to hear.

With no camera work to download, I went to bed. Someone reported finding my phone, as they ditched it, unable to open it. I’d get the phone back the next day, so relieved there. All that I had was the video on my phone, to be retrieved later, thanks to an honest citizen.

Movie clips.
