LAS VEGAS DAY TWENTY November 30, 2020

Lone Mountain (3,342') 13X and about the luxury casinos

Up early as usual, I did some webwork. I made breakfast, and continued with my chores. Dawdling at the computer, I finally left home. Beelining to the Lone Mountain TH, I did my 13X. The register was okay, and hikers were still signing in. I received a message that the approval was now ongoing. Seems that many refuse to sign-in, as I guess it’s trouble and you then have to handle the book.

Motoring back into town, I parked at the free garage. Doing a slight walk, I went to the luxury casino, where they were working on the Conservatory displays. They’d be finished by this coming weekend, so I’d be back then. Sauntering to the adjacent casino, I remembered in 2010, that I paid to stay here for one night. No food was being served, so I ambled on to the next casino.

With gorgeous displays to see, it was the holiday season. The Chinese restaurant was closed, so I didn’t get more dim sum or any Chinese food. I took the escalator to the second floor, where only the fruit drink stand was open. I lost $25 at Blackjack yesterday, so trying to win it back, I played two $20’s and broke even. I tipped the dealer a $5 chip, and got my $40 back. My luck wasn’t too good today, as I nearly lost everything.

With a gourmet lunch, I sure enjoyed myself. Sipping some $9 bottled water, I savored the flavor. Then for more photos, as it was late afternoon. Then back through the other casinos, but I took the wrong way back to the Strip. Construction or barriers blocked the way, so I doubled back and found two showgirls, who posed for $5 each, but they said $20 was the usual tip.

Back to the car, I hadn’t bought anything, as most of the sales were over. Taking the Boulevard back home, I got to the computer. Video chatting with some guy, we talked for an hour, so I sent $15 by online payment. Tired and then sleepy, I had to retire to sleep.

Movie clips.
