LAS VEGAS DAY THIRTEEN November 23, 2020

Lone Mountain (3,342’) 7X

Up early again, I occupied myself with webwork. Updating my website with yesterday’s activities, I updated my laptop with assistance by the manufacturer. Making breakfast, I had some business by phone.

Motoring to the copy shop, some lady refused distancing. I asked her politely to move away, and another person began attacking me verbally. I feared for violence, as this guy was making racist tinged threats. No cop or attorney would ever be interested, as it’s clearly harassment. Finished with my purchases, I got the H*** out of there. I could be dead tomorrow, by what that lady could have done to me. Both “majority” by the hiking club judge, clear that Vegas supports hate and infection.

Onto the hiking destination, I did the peak and placed a register. As I sat on the summit, taking photos, some hikers said “Cool,” and others hated this. I left the register, to see what the hikers will do. I had phoned the County parks for permission, as if people disappear, they can be tracked by their signatures. Also, an op for comments and art. Much better than the hate graffiti, and I like a wild peak. Picking up litter on my way down, the winds will blow it away, likely into someone’s back yard.

Beelining home, I sought to post photos and video. Nice to have a social media page, where hikers can discuss issues, and share their joy of a safe summit. By the looks of it, hundreds of hikers bag this peak every day. With such support for the peak bagging, maybe the government will take notice.

Nice to have better trails, and volunteers to clean up the routes.
